TradeFIQ
An algorithmic trading platform that runs people's strategies on the exchanges they already use, without ever holding their money. Started in 2025 as AlgoEdger.
Professional trading discipline, without writing code.
Most people who automate their trading do it with scripts that skip the rules professionals apply every time: stop-losses, drawdown limits, trading hours. TradeFIQ lets them build a strategy from blocks, test it on real market history, and run it on their own account.
The hard part isn't the features. It's trust. The platform places real orders with other people's money, charges fees and pays strategy authors. It has to be right at the worst possible moment, every time.
Four rules everything else had to obey.
What made it difficult, and what I did about it.
Moving money we never hold
Every number about a user's capital lives on a system we don't control, and it has to be right even when that system is slow or briefly wrong.
Trade sizes come only from the user's own account. Platform fees live in a separate ledger that can never pay for a trade, so a billing bug can't place an order.
Exits that go out under pressure
Exchanges throttle, time out and go down exactly when markets move fast, which is when stop-losses fire.
Orders that protect a position always go ahead of everything else. They are never quietly dropped: they go through or fail loudly.
Backtests you can believe
Most platforms test with simplified logic, so results look better than live trading ever will.
Backtests replay real market history through the same decisions the live system makes.
Fees only when followers profit
Copy-trading followers pay a manager only in weeks they make money. Settling that across many accounts must survive crashes and retries.
Settlement is safe to run again at any point. Every fee is either taken exactly once or returned.
